What information is needed for Radiant Design
Floor plans that include the following information:
-Measurements (in feet) of all interior walls, including hallways and closets.
-Windows, skylights, and exterior doors marked on the drawing and their size (WxH).
-Marked bathtubs and stairs.
-Room names.
-Ceiling height and marked vaulted areas (height of their low and high point or roof pitch).
-Insulation values of the ceiling, walls, and floors.
-Type of windows and their U value, if known.
-Preferred brand of equipment.
If
you don’t have official floor plans, you can always create a hand
drawing (as shown on this drawing), but I urge you to double-check all
measurements as people often miscalculate the measurements. In this
case, Graph paper will be your best friend.
I’ll also need to
know the Insulation values of the ceiling, walls, and floors, ceiling
height, what type of system you’re installing, and the type of tubbing.
If you don’t know this information or don’t have a preference, I’ll make an educated guess or give you a recommendation.
Be informed what's included in the package and the project's requirements
A Radiant design with a Room-by-room load calculation and a list of tubbing and manifolds required for the loop installation. *If you’re purchasing a Material Takeoff, it will include a near-boiler piping diagram with the takeoff and material list required to go from the boiler to the loop manifolds.
The delivery time is most often between 3-4 days, depending on the size of the project. Once I review your file, I'll send you a price quote, which will include the delivery time, and it's guaranteed that I'll deliver on time or early. *The delivery time starts from the time the invoice is paid.
I use the ACCA-certified “Wrightsoft” program with the Right-Radiant module. I find it to be the most accurate and detailed program on the market.
A drawing of the house with the size of ALL walls and dimensions (WxH) of all windows and exterior doors, as well as a filled Price Quote form. The form will contain questions such as equipment preference, construction details, and so on.
Yes, it can. Most jurisdictions require these calculations to obtain a Permit to start construction.
No, a Blockload can’t be upgraded to a Radiant Design, as Radiant needs the individual room load requirements. If you plan to add a Radiant design in the near future, please place an order for a Room-by-Room Manual JS.
